Thermal imaging multimeters are first-line troubleshooting tools for electrical equipment that can be used to check hot spots in high-voltage equipment and transformers, and to detect the heating of fuses, wires, insulators, connectors, splices, and switches. Scanning with a 279 FC thermal imager quickly detects many electrical problems from a safe distance. By combining the two tools into one tool, the thermal imaging multimeter can reduce the burden and increase productivity.
